Create a stone-effect taper candle holder using air-dry clay and curry powder!
A few weeks ago, I experimented with curry powder and air-dry clay, and created a jewellery dish. Although the effect was subtle, I really liked the warm speckled texture it had, and when I was looking for a holder for a taper candle I handpainted with tulips, I realised I could turn my dish into a candle holder. All of the details and the tutorial for the stone-effect jewellery dish are here, and below you can find the tutorial for how to turn it into a candle holder. This was such an easy project, and despite how easy it was, the final product feels really robust and aesthetically pleasing. I know I’m going to get alot of use out of it, and love that I have something deserving to put my handpainted Spring taper candle in.
