How I used artifical foliage, lights and eggshells to create a pretty Easter mantle!
I love an easy project that still packs a punch and this was one of those! We’ve been getting these lovely sage green eggs recently, and so after we’ve used them, I’ve been cleaning out and keeping the eggshells. I don’t often decorate for Easter, but this year, with my faux fireplace in place, I knew I wanted to add a subtle nod to the season.
I used some faux eucalyptus sprigs left over from our wedding decor, as well as some dainty fairy lights, and then added in my handpainted eggshells. I found it so relaxing painting these, and as I had all of the items already, except the eggs which we got primarily for cooking, creating this mantle didn’t cost a thing. I’ve got more Spring projects and Easter projects coming your way, so stay tuned!
I’d love to hear what you think of this project, and if you like it, please do share on social media and subscribe for updates! Keep reading for the step by step tutorial and list of materials you’ll need…
