Happy New Year! If you’ve been following the blog for a little while, then you’ll know that I’ve been illustrating and sharing printable calendars each month for the past year in celebration of having more free time. I loved this challenge, and generally hate things going to waste, so I thought I’d recycle last years illustrations and create a whole new printable calendar for you for 2019!
TIME FOR SAME
We’re told that the New Year is the time for resolutions and new beginnings, however for many people - myself included - January can feel anything but a positive and motivating time of year. For those of us who don’t get those ‘fresh start’ feels, the constant ‘New year, new you’ messages that seem to be all over social media can get pretty tiresome. Still, a new year does call for a new calendar, and despite having never created a printable calendar for the whole year in one go before, I knew that this year I wanted to. When I was thinking about how to go about this, I couldn’t help but feel that unless I started it completely anew that it was somehow a cop out. But at the same time, I knew that I didn’t want to use the illustrations that I made for last years monthly calendars only once, and in the back of my mind, I knew that I was adding an unnecessary pressure on myself at a time of year when my motivation and organisation levels are at an all time low.
SAME FOR THE BETTER
So after realising this, I gave myself permission to take what might feel the easier route and recycle last year’s illustrations. I’m so glad I did; I loved making last years monthly printable calendars and I’m really pleased with how this 2019 calendar turned out. I’m hoping to keep making monthly printable calendars this year - I’ve done this months but still need to share it - but hopefully this will be handy for those of you who like to plan for the whole year and who are way more organised than me! If you fancy new designs for your calendar this year, then you can make sure you know when my January 2019 printable calendar is out by following me over on instagram or bloglovin.
DOWNLOAD THE CALENDAR
As usual, to get your own copy of this printable calendar, all you have to do is to download the PDF below by clicking on the ‘Download the PDF’ button. Once you have downloaded it, print it out onto thick paper or card. To hang it, use a hole punch to make a hole in the middle of the top of each page and use this to hang your calendar on your wall. You can then take off each month when you’re done with it. Alternatively, grab some washi tape and use it to stick one month at a time to your wall by placing tape on each corner. Simple!
