Send your valentine, galentine or palentine some love this year, with these free printable herb-based greeting cards!
As I’ve got older, I’ve definitely become less of a romantic, but I still can’t resist a good romcom. In my teens and early adulthood, back when you either had to go to the cinema or watch films on DVDs, I was obsessed with Dirty Dancing and The Notebook. My partner has still never made it all the way through Dirty Dancing (his loss!), but back when he was still trying to impress me, he did watch The Notebook. We found the part where Allie pretends she’s a bird and Noah says “If you’re a bird, I’m a bird” pretty funny, and over the years, it’s morphed into us saying “If you’re a herb, I’m a herb” (he’s a massive foodie). I’ve been wanting to include this into some art for ages, and with all this time we have in lockdown 3.0, I finally got around to it.
I used brush tipped ink pens, and using Photoshop made two different art pieces from them, with a herb-related twist on two quotes from Dirty Dancing and The Notebook. I’ve then turned them into small free printable greeting cards, which you can download as a PDF below. Once you’ve downloaded them, print them out onto a single A4 sheet of thick paper or card, cut the paper in half and fold along the lines. These are for personal use only, and low resolution. If you’d like an art print or a larger card, head over to my Society6 store where you can get either print as a 5 pack of 5x7 greeting cards or high resolution art print in various sizes.
