Today I’m sharing this simple and minimal Christmas tablescape!
Is there anything nicer than having friends and family over at Christmas? My husband is the cook and I love decorating so we always love hosting. We never had the space to properly host in the flat and so now we have a space for a dining table, we’re always keen to make the most of it. I’ve always seen beautiful seasonal tablescapes on instagram and Pinterest, but have rarely taken the time to create one myself. Until now! I used decor I already had, except for some adorable glass bauble card holders, and made the best of my too-short-table-runner.
I absolutely adore these little glass bauble place holders which I ordered from Amazon. The top pops off so you can fill the bauble with foliage, glitter or whatever else you fancy. I’ve linked similar ones by Ginger Ray which already have foliage in, but I imagine you could take the foliage out and for a more minimal look. I also really like how the tops of the Ginger Ray ones are copper. I then used some gold-rimmed wine glasses and tumblers that I bought from Dunelm for more of a festive feel, but as these are also not available, I’ve linked to these similar looking ones on Amazon.
I placed this DIY Christmas tree ornament I made a couple of years ago in the middle, and then lay some leftover artificial eucalyptus sprigs that I had left over from the wedding either side and along the middle. I then dotted some green bottle brush trees of different heights amongst this, as well as these card trees that I made and sprayed with a copper ombre effect. Finally, I added some ribbed glass tea light holders with tea lights in around the middle, making sure I kept them a safe distance from the decor.
