7 DAYS OF BLOGMAS // DAY 6: CHRISTMAS WRAPPING

Every year, I see other bloggers and vloggers doing some sort of Christmas countdown and every year I think to myself that I wish I had been organised enough to do one. So this year, although I still haven't been organised enough to do a countdown for the whole of December (I am also supposed to be writing my thesis!), I thought I would attempt a smaller countdown; my very own 7 Days of Blogmas. Make sure you don't miss a single post by following Isoscella on Bloglovin.

It's Day 6 of my 7 Days of Blogmas and today I have not been feeling at all well, which is why this post is quite so late in the day. As I said in my Five Faves Friday DIY Christmas Wrapping post, these days I like to wrap presents in plain brown wrapping paper which I have decorated myself. Seeing as I've now just started wrapping my presents for Christmas, I thought it would be a good opportunity to share with you how I'm doing them this year, what I'm using as gift toppers and to give you really brief instructions so that you can do it yourself should you fancy. Keep reading to find out what I used and how I did it...

 >> PAINT SPLATTERED WRAPPING <<

1. Cut off a length of brown wrapping paper and lay it out flat.

2. Splatter white acrylic paint onto the paper.

3. Once dry, splatter gold paint onto the paper.

4. Once dry, wrap up a present in the wrapping paper.

5. Use twine instead of ribbon to create a bow around the present.

6. Tie a clay ornament (see how to make them here) to the knot of the bow to add a nice gift topper.

>> STAMPED WRAPPING <<

1. Cut off a length of brown wrapping paper and lay it out flat.

2. Pour out some white acrylic paint onto glass or plastic.

3. Spread the paint out on the surface evenly.

4. Press a festive stamp into the paint and stamp across the paper.

5. Once dry, use twine instead of ribbon to create a bow around the present.

6. Spray a miniature bauble (as shown here) and use as a gift topper.

See you tomorrow for the last day of 7 Days of Blogmas!

Only 2 days until Christmas!
